Mrs. Doffoney held several administrative and faculty roles in the Los Angeles and Santa Monica community college districts for over 37 years before retiring in 2012. Her leadership style is one that inspires everyone around her. She takes a personal interest in all those she encounters. She counsels academically as well as personally and offers her experiences as tools to encourage others to reach for the stars in everything they do.
Mrs. Doffoney earned her Bachelor’s Degree in psychology at Occidental College and her Master’s Degree in counseling at Cal State Los Angeles. She has always been an advocate for young women (and men) of color, identifying obstacles and breaking down barriers that hinder personal and professional growth. Mrs. Doffoney is a living example who guides young women of color through their development providing access to visible success models and networking opportunities for young women of color.
