Claudette McClenney, President

Claudette L. McClenney, M.A., Education is an Adjunct (part-time) Instructor at Los Angeles Harbor College. She also taught courses for the Extension Program’s Supervisory Academy and has taught Work Readiness classes for the Youth Source Center. She also has counseling experience.

Claudette has her B.A. in Human Services and an M.A. in Education with a Counseling concentration, both from California State University Dominguez Hills. She is a Certified Human Resources Specialist obtained from Michigan State University. Presently, she is working towards a Reading Certificate from UC Irvine. She has over 24 years of service with the Los Angeles Community College District. She is currently the supervisor of payroll and personnel at Los Angeles Harbor College as well as a labor union representative for district supervisors and managers.

Claudette is an active member of the Ladies’ Ministry board of the Avalon Church of Christ, She is married to Nathan McClenney and has one adult son. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, reading, dancing, spending time with family and friends, attending cultural events and church activities. She enjoys living life to the fullest and enjoys helping others and making a positive difference in someone’s life. She enjoys helping others. As a single mother, she was able to accomplish much with the help and support of others. She now has to be the support and help for young women in need.
