Carmen Carrillo, Board Member

Carmen has been an educator for over 30 years and is a Professor of English at Harbor College where she oversees the Puente Program. She has served on various professional boards such as the Executive Board of the Latina Leadership Network, the Southland Council, and the CA Assoc. of English Teachers.
Carmen is a first-generation college student and an education advocate for people of color. She earned an A.A. degree from LA Valley College, a B.A. degree from Loyola Marymount and an M.A degree from the University of Iowa.
She is married and she and her family are big sports fans. She especially enjoys watching her son, Marques, play football.
